Emily Rose

July 4, 1993 - September 15, 2008

My webpage is dedicated to Emmi, our extraordinary girl who made the journey to Rainbow Bridge on September 15, 2008. She was highly intelligent, intuitive, a world-class kisser, athletic, and the owner of a very funny sense of humor. We miss her more than words can express, but will carry her in our hearts forever.

Emmi was always ready to dive in the pool and swim syncronized circles with her Dad, even after turning 15!

Emmi loved to be silly and play Pattycake. She had a great smile!

She enjoyed "frolicking", especially on cool grass. I tried it once with her, and it was FUN! She wore my Eddie Bauer down vest every winter. Who would have imagined that we wore the same size.

If Emmi was interested in something, she gave it her FULL attention. She sat for hours watching lizards in her favorite tree, and spent her time between dives staring at her Dad in the water waiting for him to give her the signal to dive in again.

I guess Emmi just needed to feel above it all once in a while. Living with Brodie could do that to anyone!

Emmi loved to eat, and would eat anything except raw Swiss Chard (who could blame her). She also loved to steal. This was her grandest heist of all time. She stole a 10 pound bag of flour from the pantry, and pulled it out of the house onto the back lawn. She devoured several mouthfuls before I discovered her at the end of the trail of flour.
